Apoorva Tungaturthy Early Life and Education
Apoorva Tungaturthy has an impressive academic record. She was a consistent topper and secured a state rank in Class 10. Although she had dreamed of becoming a doctor from Class 8, her father, who was a school principal, encouraged her to choose the MPC stream and pursue engineering.
Apoorva later completed her B.E. in Computer Science from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, between 2017 and 2021. She reportedly topped her college and graduated with four job offers, including opportunities from Wipro and TCS.
Apoorva initially worked as a software engineer for a US-based company in Chennai. However, she soon realised that the corporate routine did not give her the excitement she was looking for. After around six months, she decided to pursue her passion for media and entertainment.
In 2022, she resigned from her software job and began exploring opportunities as a television presenter. Her decision initially surprised her family, but her father eventually supported her after watching her work on television.

Apoorva began her television career as a news presenter with ABN Andhrajyothi. She later expanded her career into television hosting and live events, working with channels including Star Maa, Gemini TV, Gemini Music and Doordarshan Yadagiri.
She has hosted red-carpet events, live programmes and major entertainment shows. One of her notable assignments was the Star Maa Parivaar Awards red carpet in 2023. She also hosted the Varalakshmi Vratham event in 2024 and appeared as the host of Lady Boss on Gemini Music.
